MANILA, Philippines — Super Typhoon Pepito (international name: Manyi) is expected to bring heavy to torrential rainfall to some areas in Luzon and Visayas from Saturday evening to Monday evening, the state weather bureau said.
In its 8 p.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration (Pagasa) said that “[f]orecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas.”

Pagasa in its 8 p.m. weather bulletin said that Pepito was about to make a landfall along the eastern coast of Catanduanes. It was last located over the coastal waters of Gigmoto, Catanduanes, moving northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour (km/h).
